In Nicaragua

we're back on bloglandia and hoping that this will be a good way for friends and family to keep up to speed with what's going on. God's been working in amazing ways and we praise Him and His word because he truly does do exceedingly and abundantly beyond what we can hope for or imagine. Please pray for more open doors as we try to cement plans for a National Literacy Ministry Institute in November of this year. Emily also has been battling a sinus headache and cough for the last week or so so please pray for her . . . below you'll see:

a) Sharing with a group of pastor's about the need for literacy ministry in the church.

b) A rare spotting of a Bimbo truck. This mexican bread company is allegedly being sued for only hiring blond females, which they have to kidnap from TX.

c) This brother, José Luis, just "happened" (totally God) to be on the same bus as we were going to a town called Sébaco where I did a training back in 04. Since we didn't know exactly how to get the house where we were going to be staying, he led us all the way there and we ate dinner and fellowshipped together.

d) At Pastor Bernardo's house, their dog urinated on our suitcase twice! each time he hit the spot that says "Jesus Is Lord" - "Que perro irreverente!" they said . . . which means, "what an irreverent dog!"

e) At the Sébaco church, we got to actually experience a Nicaraguan wedding . . . quite interesting.
